Zoyi Capital has invested in Taiwan Farm Industry (TFI), a processed meat producer in Taiwan.
TFI has a strong presence in both the retail and wholesale Taiwanese markets and has developed long-term relationships with a group of distributors that exclusively sell TFI’s meat products to wholesale customers.
Zoyi Capital, which has a long term relationship with honorary chairman Chris Chang, has identified a growth strategy for TFI, supported by planned new production expansion to address current unmet demand due to capacity limitation.

Beamz Interactive has raised USD1 million of private funding from selected accredited investors at a price of USD0.05 per unit.
Each unit consists of one share of restricted common stock and one three-year warrant with an exercise price of USD0.05.
The offering was led by management, who invested USD400,000 of the total financing amount. The net proceeds of the financing will be used primarily for sales and marketing purposes.

Elliptic, the digital asset services company, has completed a USD2m funding round led by venture capital firm Octopus Investments.
This funding comes just six months after the launch of Elliptic Vault, the world’s first insured Bitcoin storage service.
The seed-funding round, which sees Octopus invest alongside a number of experienced angel investors, is the first major venture capital investment in a Bitcoin company in the UK.
Launched in January 2014, Elliptic will offer a suite of enterprise services that bridge the gap between traditional finance and digital assets. Their first such product, Elliptic Vault, was the world’s first insured Bitcoin storage service.
Union Group, a major investor in real assets in emerging Latin American countries, has completed a capital increase with Dundee Corporation, a Canadian asset manager with a track record in resources investments.
The sale takes Dundee’s stake in the company to 40 per cent and proceeds will be immediately deployed in expanding Union's presence in Latin America, across its high-growth portfolio of assets and businesses.

Bridgepoint Development Capital (BDC) has acquired Phlexglobal, a provider of Trial Master File and electronic Trial Master File solutions and services to the life sciences sector.
Phlexglobal was previously backed by Inflexion.
BDC will support Phlexglobal’s plans to develop technologies, expand its client base across pharma, biotech and contract research organisations and extend its global footprint.

Kirill Dmitriev, chief executive of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), is launching an initiative to form a joint fund to invest in the equity capital of BRICS infrastructure projects.
Dimitrev made the announcement at the BRICS summit in Fortaleza. Representatives of leading financial institutions, BRICS sovereign wealth funds and RDIF’s international partners have given their support to the initiative.
Should the negotiations be successful, the joint fund will become operational by the next BRICS summit which is scheduled to take place in Ufa (Russia) in 2015.

Equistone Partners Europe has exited PD&MS Energy, a provider of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the global oil and gas industry, in a secondary buyout to Inflexion.
The mid-market private equity firm has achieved a 2.9x return on total investment after it backed the management buyout in 2010.
Founded in 2002 by its current management team, PD&MS Energy serves the drilling, production and marine sectors. Its core capability is ‘brownfield’ design engineering services, using project planning and design software tools to service drilling and production operators throughout the oil and gas market.

NorthEdge Capital, the private equity firm focused on investing in businesses based in the North of England, has backed Blackburn-based tissue converter Accrol Papers in a GBP66million deal.
Accrol, established in 1993, employs 300 staff with a current turnover exceeding GBP100million. One of Europe’s largest independent converter of soft tissue products, the business has a manufacturing capacity in excess of 80,000 tonnes per annum.
The business, founded by the Hussain family, has grown significantly in the last five years. The investment by NorthEdge will facilitate the acceleration of the company’s expansion programme to increase capacity and support further growth,
Private equity fund Change Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Frette, an Italian luxury linen and home furnishings business.
Change Capital Partners will make a significant investment into the company.
Frette’s existing owner, JH Partners, a San Francisco-based consumer focused private equity firm, will retain a minority stake in the business.
Founded in 1860, the company has supplied high quality linens to aristocratic families throughout Europe as well as the Vatican. Frette has 15 directly owned boutiques around the world.
