Alternative asset management firm Carlson Capital has reached a strategic agreement with Jefferies Group (Jefferies) and structured credit investor Hildene Capital Management (Hildene) to support the new issuance of CLOs on Carlson’s Cathedral Lake platform.Under the terms of the agreement, Jefferies and Hildene will provide CLO equity capital to support the new issuance of four Carlson CLOs within the next three years. Hibob, an HR technology innovator behind the people management platform bob, has secured USD70 million in a Series B funding round led by investors SEEK and Israel Growth Partners (IGP). Promoting the progress of Hibob’s mission to simplify people management, culture building, and employee engagement for remote and dispersed workforces, the investment will allow Hibob to drive wider global expansion while contributing to further Hibob product development. Thompson Street Capital Partners’ (TSCP) portfolio company Marmic Fire & Safety Co (Marmic) has acquired Chicago, Illinois-based Total Fire & Safety, LLC (TFS), a provider of fire and life safety systems, equipment and related services. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.TFS has been serving its customers for more than 20 years and is one of the leading fire protection and alarm monitoring companies in the Chicago metropolitan area. Waterland Private Equity Investments (Waterland) has closed ts eighth institutional fund, Waterland Private Equity Fund VIII (WPEF VIII) at EUR2.5 billion. The fund closed at its hard cap three months after its initial launch. WPEF VIII was considerably oversubscribed with demand significantly exceeding the fundraising target, attributable to continued strong support from existing investors combined with significant interest from new investors. The fundraise attracted commitments from world class institutional investors with over half headquartered in Europe, over a third in the United States, and select investors from the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Investment group RD Capital Partners (RDCP) continues on its buy-and-build strategy in the construction sector with the acquisition of hydro-demolition firm Buxton Water.The deal marks RDCP’s second acquisition this month following its recent purchase of Su-Fix Precast and its fifth this year following earlier acquisitions of Killingley, Macair and Chilango. Established in 2015 by Sameer Rizvi and Iryna Dubylovska, RDCP is headquartered in London and is one of the fastest growing private companies in the UK. Carved out of Brugg Cables in 2018 and based in Windisch, Switzerland, Solifos is the leading supplier of high performance, specialty fiber optic cables for distributed sensing and mission-critical defence applications.Solifos supplies essential components for remote and distributed sensing systems monitoring structural integrity of bridges, dams, pipelines and other critical infrastructure.
