The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), Africa’s largest stock exchange, has struck a deal with Globacap, a specialist in automating private capital markets, to launch a private placement platform for billions of dollars worth of infrastructure projects across Africa.

Galgus, a startup which specialises in research and development of wireless network technologies, has successfully completed a, investment round led by GED Capital (through its fund Conexo Ventures) and Mundi Ventures, with the additional participation of GoHub Ventures, Global Omnium’s corporate venturing arm, and Wayra, Telefónica’s open innovation hub.
IFM Investors’ new private equity Growth Fund has made its first transaction, taking a significant minority interest in Zuuse, a global provider of construction payment management Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to the USD1 trillion global construction and building operations sector. Zuuse is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and operates under the Payapps brand in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and GCPay in North America.
Co-founded by Lincoln Easton and Geoff Tarrant, the company commercially launched Payapps in Australia in 2016. Zuuse now has more than 70 employees and over 21,000 clients around the world.

Mid Europa Partners (Mid Europa), a private equity investor in Central and Eastern Europe, is to acquire a majority stake in GWD Concept (Displate) from the founders, Credo Ventures and Miton Capital. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2020.
Displate is an online metal prints marketplace that connects more than 40,000 visual creators and more than 30 licensed brands to a customer base of enthusiasts in more than 50 countries. Coretelligent, a provider of managed IT, security and unified cloud management services, and a portfolio company of VSS Capital Partners (VSS), have acquired managed services IT firm Soundshore Technology Group. Financial terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed.
