Healthcare private equity firm Avista Capital Partners (Avista), along with VHC Investco and company management, has acquired Vision Healthcare NV (Vision). Avista and VHC Investco/Management will each hold a 5o per cent ownership interest in Vision. The transaction values Vision at an aggregate value of EUR305 million (approximately USD336 million), inclusive of contingent payments. The transaction is subject to customary competition authority review and is expected to close later this year.
Vision Consumer Health is a Belgium-based consumer healthcare platform with sales and operations across continental Europe. Vision owns and markets a large branded portfolio of self-care and over-the-counter products.
An affiliate of global private equity investment firm HIG Capital (HIG) has made an investment in USALCO, a provider of aluminium-based chemicals used primarily in water and wastewater treatment processes and for the manufacturing of catalysts used by refineries. HIG is partnering with Peter and David Askew as well as the current management team to help provide resources to achieve and take advantage of the Company’s significant strategic growth opportunities.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

InvestEco Capital has held the final close of the InvestEco Sustainable Food Fund III at USD100 million in capital commitments. The Fund will continue the Toronto-based venture capital firm’s mandate of investing in private, high-growth Canadian and US companies that promote health and sustainability in the food sector. This Fund follows two previous successful food funds managed by InvestEco that have invested in and partnered with many leading North American sustainable food brands, including Vital Farms, Mama Earth Organics, Maple Hill Creamery, Le Grand, NadaMoo, and LesserEvil, among a number of others.

Warburg Pincus will co-invest in Tilney and Smith & Williamson’s revised transaction structure for their proposed merger, alongside funds advised by Permira.
Since the deal was first announced in September 2019, both firms have been involved in planning for the combined business.
The combined group will be known as Tilney Smith & Williamson, and will become one of the UK’s largest integrated wealth management and professional service businesses following the deal.
It will have GBP 44 billion in AuM, and generate around GBP 530 million of revenue. The combined business is expected to be the fourth largest UK wealth management

Glennmont Partners (Glennmont) has completed the sale of Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant (Sleaford REP) to Greencoat Capital (Greencoat). With this sale, the last remaining asset of Glennmont’s EUR437 million Clean Energy Fund I has been divested.Sleaford REP is an operational 39 MWe renewable CHP plant which uses a blend of straw and sustainable woodchip to generate power and heat.
