Stellus Capital Management has reported significant year-over-year increases in capital deployed and capital committed, as well as a considerable increase in the firm’s total number of investments. In 2021, Stellus deployed USD761 million of new capital, a year-over-year increase of 122 per cent, and committed USD870 million of new capital, a 155 per cent year-over-year increase. Alan Howard founder of hedge fund Brevan Howard has led a USD7.5 million Series A funding round in Nested, a social trading platform that enables users to create and invest in “financial NFTs”, according to a report by CoinBase.
Goldman Sachs Asset Management (Goldman Sachs) has launched a new investment capability focused on investment grade private placement debt for the firm’s insurance, pension and sovereign wealth clients. The Debt Private Placement Investors (DPPI) platform will originate and manage 4(a)(2) and select 144a Private Placement (PP) investments. AXA IM Alts, a specialist in alternative investments with cEUR183 billion of assets under management, raised a record EUR18.2 billion of capital in 2021, including EUR10.2 billion of third party commitments. Lower-mid market private equity firm NorthEdge is celebrating a successful year-long partnership with global healthcare business, the Helios Global Group.
