Thirteen has successfully issued a private placement to a group of high-profile UK and US institutional investors, securing a GBP100 million injection of new capital.
As the largest housing association in the North East with over 34,000 homes, Thirteen secured the funding after its leadership team impressed investors at a series of roadshows.
The GBP100 million private placement is spread over a number of tranches with 25-year to 35-year maturities and a weighted average cost of funds of 2.86 per cent.

British Business Investments, a commercial subsidiary of the British Business Bank, has made its second cornerstone commitment this year through its GBP500 million Managed Funds Programme.
The GBP100 million commitment is being made to the Hermes GPE Innovation Fund which is seeking to raise a target of GBP250 million. Investments are expected to be focused on later-stage opportunities in technology-enabled businesses across the UK and Europe with a productivity, people or sustainability theme.

Barings has served as mandated lead arranger and sole provider of a senior secured credit facility to support Montagu Private Equity (Montagu) in its acquisition of Jane’s from IHS Markit.
Jane’s is a leading global provider of open source information to the aerospace, defence and security industries. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

The Catalyst-CEL China-Israel Fund (CCF) has made an investment in Arbe Robotics (Arbe), the provider of next-generation 4D Imaging Radar Chipset Solution that enables high-resolution sensing for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles.
The Fund led Arbe’s USD32 million B-round fundraising, and is joined by Beijing Automotive Investment Capital, MissionBlue Capital, and AI Alliance, along with the Company’s previous shareholders. Current CEO Kobi Marenko founded Arbe in 2016. Its breakthrough radar chipset, 4D Imaging Radar Chipset Solution, generates an image 100 times more detailed than any solution on the market today.

NewHold Enterprises (NewHold), a long-term investment holding company and direct investment platform focused on middle market industrials and services firms, has invested in PRIME AE Group, (PRIME AE). Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Private equity firm FFL Partners (FFL) is to sell EyeCare Partners (ECP), a vertically integrated growing network of full scope medical optometry and ophthalmology practices in the US. Financial terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2015, ECP provides best-in-class eye care services from an integrated network of over 500 optometrists and 85 ophthalmologists located in 13 states throughout the Midwest, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southwest. Accenture has invested in and formed a strategic alliance with TradeIX, a Dublin-based company whose open platform uses distributed ledger technology to facilitate the flow of goods, services, transactions and information within a secure environment for global trade.
Terms of the equity investment have not been disclosed.
Current trade relies on time-consuming manual transaction processes that can be costly and hard to reconcile.
