Hunters has secured USD68 million in a Series C round led by growth equity firm Stripes, with participation from new investors DTCP, Cisco Investments and Databricks, and existing investors YL Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Microsoft’s venture fund M12, US Venture Partners, Blumberg Capital and Snowflake Ventures. The new funding brings the total investment in Hunters to USD118 million. Onramper – a fiat-to-crypto gateway aggregator – has raised USD6 million in a seed funding round, led by EQT Ventures, with participation from Backed VC and TRGC.
Vending Machines International (VMI), has secured a SGD135 Million capital commitment from GEM Global Yield LLC SCS (GGY), a Luxembourg-based private alternative investment vehicle. Under the agreement, GGY will provide VMI with a Share Subscription Facility of up to SGD135 million for a 36-month period following a public listing of VMI’s common stock. VMI will control the timing and maximum amount of drawdowns under this facility and has no minimum drawdown obligation.
British smart home systems installer BOXT is accelerating its expansion plans to become the leader in the UK domestic heating market after raising GBP20 million in a fresh round of funding led by Brookfield, a global investor in infrastructure. Brookfield has also invested in residential infrastructure specialists Thermondo in Germany and Enercare in Canada and the US. The fundraising follows an initial investment from engineering giant Bosch.
Browne Jacobson’s national corporate tech lawyers have advised specialist e-mobility and cyclist insurtech business Laka on its USD12 million series A investment round which was led by US mobility investor Autotech Ventures. Sustainable mobility and energy fund Ponooc (a Dutch, sustainable mobility investor with close ties to the world’s largest bike seller, Pon) and ABN AMRO Ventures also particpated, while existing investors including Creandum, LocalGlobe, 1818 Ventures and Elkstone Partners made follow  on investments, with new angel investment coming from Zwift CEO and co-founder, Eric Min. Post Road Group (Post Road), an alternative investment firm focused on middle-market corporate strategies and real estate, has closed the Post Road Special Opportunity Fund II LP with total capital commitments of more than USD300 million, exceeding the Fund’s target. SOF II received significant backing from existing Post Road limited partners as well as new investors globally, including pension funds, fund of funds, university endowments, private foundations, and family offices.   SOF II invests in a range of corporate strategies, including secured credit, structured equity, and special situations in middle-market technology, media, telecommunications, and business services sectors. Jebbit, provider of a zero-party data platform, has received a USD70 million strategic growth investment from Vista Equity Partners (Vista), a global investment firm focused exclusively on enterprise software, data and technology-enabled businesses. The growth capital will help the company scale across all departments to further accelerate its mission to help brands deliver personalised digital experiences that collect data that is willingly and intentionally shared by a consumer (“zero-party data”).   Jebbit’s no-code platform enables companies to build interactive product and personality quizzes, lookbooks, trivia, lead generation forms and more that gather zero-party and first-party data.  The investment in Jebbit
Powerhouse Retail Services (Powerhouse), a portfolio company of private equity firm Lincolnshire Management, has acquired Advanced Service Solutions (Advanced), an outsourced business services provider. The acquisition will provide additional estimation and contractor capacity to Powerhouse’s existing facilities maintenance service offering particularly in the pharmacy, grocery, and retail markets.  Financial terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed. HarbourView Equity Partners (HarbourView), a global alternative asset management focused on media/entertainment assets, backed private equity firm Apollo, has acquired the music catalogue of Luis Fonsi. Financial terms of the deal, which was negotiated and closed in just two weeks, have not been disclosed.    Fonsi is an award-winning global artist from Puerto Rico, and one of the leading Latin Music figures of his generation with successful artistic career spanning over two decades. From his debut album “Comenzaré” (1998) to his latest studio album “Vida” (2019), Fonsi has continuously broken sales records while topping the charts.
