OpenGov, a specialist in enterprise cloud solutions for government, has raised USD51 million in a Series D financing round led by experienced GovTech investors Weatherford Capital and 8VC, with participation from existing investor Andreessen Horowitz.
With this new round of funding, OpenGov has now raised more than USD140 million from Andreessen Horowitz, 8VC, JC2 Ventures, Emerson Collective, and other top investors since its founding in 2012. The latest financing will be used to fuel OpenGov’s growth as the company continues to develop and go to market with best-in-class technology, including end-to-end budgeting, performance, communications, and reporting solutions for government.

Healthcare private equity investor Apposite Capital’s dentistry group, Riverdale Healthcare, has acquired Archway Dental Practice in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.
Archway Dental Practice was founded by dentist, Mark Amos and moved into its current building in 2009, providing NHS dental care via three treatment rooms. The acquisition of the practice follows the acquisitions of Hebburn and Pelaw dental practices in Tyne & Wear one month ago, further strengthening the group footprint in North East England.

Palatine Private Equity owned SMP Group of Companies (SMP), has completed a deal to acquire Helm Trust Company Limited (Helm), a trust and corporate services provider based in Jersey.
The deal, originally announced in July, has been approved by the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
Helm has now begun trading as SMP Helm Trust Company Limited (SMP Helm), as part of a staged integration process that will see SMP’s existing Jersey office merge with the acquired business.

Kare Plus National Limited has received a GBP910,000 loan from MEIF Maven WM Debt Finance, part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund.
Kare Plus delivers care and support services through residential establishments including large private hospitals, local councils and to private clients within their own homes, providing them with medical and care services.
