Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has sold its portfolio of onshore wind farms to Pensions Infrastructure Platform (PiP) for an enterprise value of GBP50 million.
Comprising 64 turbines in locations across the UK and Ireland the SEP portfolio contains all five of the wind farm investments made by the Environmental Capital Fund (ECF), a specialist infrastructure fund managed by SEP. The portfolio ranges from single-turbine sites across the Orkney and Shetland Islands to utility-scale turbines in Curraghderrig, Ireland and the Port of Tilbury in London.

Funds advised by specialist debt investor Permira Debt Managers (PDM) are acting as senior secured lender to Deutsche Private Equity (DPE) in its acquisition of Valantic, a DACH-based digital consulting and software provider.
Valantic was founded in 2012 as DABERO Service Group and renamed in 2017, after nine acquisitions in six years. It now has more than 800 customers across DACH, based in 13 locations and employing circa 1,100 staff. The business has developed into a fully integrated technology enterprise platform providing services in the areas of financial services, enterprise software, business and predictive analytics, logistics and supply chain management.
Gide has advised Idia Capital Investissement, a subsidiary of group Crédit Agricole, on its investment in the share capital of Maison Chapoutier, a wine producer and merchant in the Rhone valley and whose vineyards cover 450 hectares in France and abroad (Australia, Spain and Portugal).
This transaction is part of a more global reorganisation of Maison Chapoutier’s shareholding, alongside the Chapoutier family and its longstanding partner Sofina.
This investment will boost the development of the family-owned vineyard’s activities, in particular as regards biodynamic growing methods and wine tourism.

Touch Biometrix, a fingerprint technology company, has received a GBP2 million investment from Deepbridge Capital.
The Series A funding through the Deepbridge Technology Growth Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) fund follows initial seed funding of GBP150,000 last year.
North Wales based Touch Biometrix is developing a new class of fingerprint sensor for application to consumer electronics such as smartphones and laptops.
Based on proprietary sensor designs and algorithms, the Touch Biometrix platform will enable fingerprint sensors of any shape or size that can be integrated easily into a wide range of consumer electronics and smart objects.

Ridgemont Equity Partners, a middle market private equity investor, has acquired Munch’s Supply (Munch’s) alongside the Company’s existing management team, led by CEO Bob Munch.
Munch’s is a wholesale distributor of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, parts and supplies. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Munch’s was founded in 1956 and supplies HVAC equipment to residential and commercial customers in the Midwest, Great Plains and Mountain states through 27 branch locations. Munch’s Supply distributes products from more than 100 leading HVAC equipment, parts and supplies manufacturers, including Trane, American Standard, Rheem and Mitsubishi.
