Investcorp, a provider and manager of alternative investment products, has signed a secondary transaction in relation to a number of assets from its European private equity portfolio, under a new fund arrangement, subject to receipt of relevant regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions. The fund will be capitalised with approximately USD1 billion of aggregate commitments.   Coller Capital’s current fund, Coller International Partners VII, will underwrite the new fund, with Investcorp retaining a continued interest in the portfolio through a meaningful GP commitment to the fund. BGF, the UK and Ireland-focussed investor in growing businesses, invested nearly half a billion pounds into British businesses in 2018, in another record year of growth. Venture capital investor Beringea has led a GBP9 million investment in AccessPay, a Manchester-based fintech firm. The funding round, also backed by US investors True Ventures and Route 66, is one of the largest ever investments in a financial technology company in the North. Vectis, a private equity firm long active in Nigeria, has concluded a restructuring investment transaction of USD12 million into Leventis Foods Ltd, an established Nigerian FMCG manufacturing company with leading brands of bread and snacks. The transaction is pending regulatory approvals.
