Baird Capital’s Global Private Equity team has invested in Subsea Technology & Rentals (STR), an independent subsea rental equipment and specialist services provider to the offshore energy industry.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The funding will allow STR to develop its equipment and service offerings through organic and acquisition-lead growth. The investment will also enable STR to further expand its geographical reach, with the Americas, mainland Europe and Southeast Asia being a key focus for the company, supporting the rapidly growing offshore wind sector.

Palatine-backed Suntera Global has enhanced its presence in the Channel Islands with the acquisition of specialist fiduciary services provider, Nedgroup Trust Limited.
Suntera says the deal strengthens its offering and extends its reach into an additional tier one jurisdiction in Guernsey.

Payflow, a financial wellbeing platform that allows employees to get paid on demand, has closed an EUR8 million financing round to continue its growth in Spain and its internationalisation plans, which have already started in Chile and Colombia.
In 2022, the company plans to start operations in two additional countries and to launch at least two more products.
After closing this round, the total funding raised by Payflow to date exceeds EUR12 million, with the company having previously raised EUR2 million inn a seed round EUR2 million in a debt round.
This new fundraising attracted renowned national and international investors.

NPIF Maven Equity Finance, managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven) and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) has invested GBP500,000 in Cheshire based Cryoniss Limited (Cryoniss), a storage and logistics management services business.
The funding will enable the business to create new jobs, expand its service offering and invest in green technology as it seeks to create new jobs in the North West and grow its customer base initially in the UK and Europe.
Cryoniss provides storage facilities, knowledge and extensive scientific expertise to the life sciences sector.
