Maples and Calder advises Aepona on acquisition of Valista

The Dublin office of Maples and Calder has advised Aepona, a global provider of telecoms software products and services headquartered in Belfast, on its acquisition of Valista, a Dublin-based provider of payment, settlement and service lifecycle management solutions to mobile and broadband operators worldwide.

Maples has grown a significant presence in the Irish market since establishing its Dublin office in 2006 and now comprises over 120 people. 

The firm represents a large proportion of the Irish high growth and emerging companies which have been backed by leading entrepreneurs or venture firms.

The corporate team, lead by Edward Miller and Jennifer Caldwell, has advised on some of the most significant deals in this space in recent months including the USD100m acquisition of Orbiscom by MasterCard and the EUR16.5m investment in Fleetmatics by Investcorp. 

Maples has also advised Aepona on a number of prior transactions including institutional fundraisings involving Amadeus Capital Partners and Polaris Ventures and Aepona’s acquisition of Appium.
