UK private equity firm Maven Capital Partners has appointed Sabrina Mahmood as investment manager in its Nottingham office, strengthening the firm’s East Midlands deal team focused on the Midlands Engine Investment Fund II (MEIF II) Debt Finance East and South East Midlands.
Mahmood, who joined Maven at the end of 2025, will lead deal origination and execution across the region while managing a growing portfolio of SME debt investments. She will also support Maven’s Female Founder Funding Programme, which aims to improve access to growth finance for women-led businesses.
Bringing over a decade of experience from Santander, Mahmood has expertise in corporate and commercial banking, international expansion, and SME portfolio management.
Maven manages £46m of the £400 million MEIF II fund, which has already backed companies including Kalas Packaging, ShawPak, Acres Insurance Brokers, and Lemon and Lime Interiors.
