Mayer Brown has appointed investment funds lawyer Matthew Griffin as a partner in the firm’s Corporate & Securities practice in London.
Griffin advises on fund formations and fund investments across illiquid and liquid asset classes in Europe and around the world for sponsors, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds. His practice also includes advising on co-investments, secondary transactions, carried interest arrangements and other complex fund related matters, including fund restructurings, continuation funds and liquidity events.
Griffin joins Mayer Brown from White & Case, where he was head of the London funds and investment management practice. He has also worked in the investment funds practices of three leading international law firms and as an actuarial adviser for a large financial services company.
