Another four private equity lawyers have left Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison to join rival firm Sidney Austin in New York, taking the number of PE lawyers to make the switch since this summer to 11, according to a report by Reuters.
The report cites a statement by Sidley as confirming that Jeffrey Kochian, Gerald Brant, and Brittany Harrison have joined the firm’s New York office as partners, while Erika Cohen has joined as counsel. The move represents a promotion for Harrison and Cohen, who were associates at Paul Weiss.
The other lawyers to move from Paul Weiss to Sidney include Ramy Wahbeh and Kaisa Kuusk as well as five more London-based lawyers.
