Movebubble investment reaches GBP2.36m after funding boost

Movebubble, the start-up finding renters a home through real-time help and insight from other renters, has received a funding boost of GBP1.1 million from private investors taking total investment to GBP2.36 million.

The new capital will be key to helping Movebubble achieve its aggressive growth targets and continue to revolutionise the rental market.
Movebubble is London’s only renter-dedicated property service, with thousands of available properties. Renters can discover, book viewings and secure a home in just a few taps via an app – using other renters’ honest feedback in real time to save a huge amount of time and stress.
The app is built by a team of like-minded renters based in London with the aim of allowing people to collaborate and make renting organised. The service includes real-time feedback through tips and insights collected from other users in the community.
In January, Movebubble saw a 170 per cent month on month increase in app downloads, having launched the app in November. The app was officially launched on stage at TechCrunch Disrupt.
The latest funding will be used to build the in-house team and develop the brand’s London presence. High profile investors in the start-up include former Spotify Managing Director Adam Williams, Co-Founder and Managing Director of London and Capital Richard Leigh, and British entrepreneur Robert Stiff, who sold his business Team24 to Capita.
The business currently incorporates a large percentage of available rental properties in London – working in partnership with over 250 estate agencies to deliver a curated list of personalised properties, tailored for each renter.
Aidan Rushby, Founder and CEO at Movebubble, says: “We are delighted to have secured such funding from a number of high profile investors. This will enable us to really improve the product and help make renting better for thousands of people.”
“We fully believe that Movebubble will transform the lives of renters on the property hunt by offering transparency, sharing capabilities and ultimately saving them huge amounts of time and hassle.”
Investor Richard Leigh, Co-Founder and Managing Director at London and Capital, says: “I feel that the Movebubble offering will revolutionise the property rental market in the UK.”
Arik Peretz, angel investor and director at Movebubble, adds: “I fell in love with Movebubble because its disruptive concept brings together everything the renting market is missing: efficiency, transparency, and livelihood.”
