Independent alternative assets advisory and placement firm MVision has become a Patron of The Prince’s Trust, an organisation that helps disadvantaged young people aged 13 – 30 who are struggling at school, are in or leaving care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.
Through a variety of programmes The Trust offers practical and financial support, giving young people the confidence and skills they need to realise their potential and transform their futures.
Last year The Trust supported 50,000 young people into employment, further education or training. It also enabled nearly 3,500 budding young entrepreneurs to fulfil their ambitions and achieve financial independence through enterprise, creating employment for themselves and others.
MVision has been working with the Trust since early 2010 when they supported a research project which analysed the barriers into employment for young people across the country. By becoming a Patron this year, MVision is supporting community investment activities, helping disadvantaged young people to make a success of their lives. In particular MVision is underwriting a programme that provides young people from the cusp of society to gain the skills they need to start a career in forestry.
Martina Milburn, Chief Executive of The Prince’s Trust, said “I’d like to say thank you to MVision Private Equity Advisers for its support for The Prince’s Trust. We believe there is a powerful financial argument for supporting our young people. They can become the teachers, nurses and plumbers we’ll all rely on in the future. They can be the innovators and entrepreneurs and leaders. We are very proud to have MVision as a Patron of The Prince’s Trust. Together we can make the most enormous difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK”.
Mounir Guen, Chief Executive Officer of MVision, says: “We’re thrilled to be helping the Trust and to be cementing our relationship through becoming a Patron. The Trust’s work is vital for young people’s future, to give them an opportunity and a vision.”
