Navatar launches CRM application for private equity industry

Navatar CRM for Private Equity, an on-demand customer relationship management application specially designed for private equity and venture capital firms, has been made available by Navata

Navatar CRM for Private Equity, an on-demand customer relationship management application specially designed for private equity and venture capital firms, has been made available by Navatar Group on salesforce.com’s AppExchange platform.

According to Navatar, the application is designed to assist private equity in managing the fundraising process, investor reporting and ongoing partnership operations, including compliance support, that are critical to the operations of private equity and venture capital firms. Live contacts and holdings feeds from Thomson Financials are integrated into the solution.

The firm says Navatar CRM for Private Equity addresses the most important operational needs of private equity firms, including tracking and management of the fundraising process and deal flow from pre-offering to closing, ongoing partnership operations that address reporting and capitalisation, compliance support including Erisa, USA Patriot Act and the Finder Agreement, portfolio, investor, and advisory activity tracking, contact and relationship management for multiple contact roles in deals and institutions, pipeline management and investor reporting.

The application has already been deployed by firms such as CCMP Capital Advisors, whose head of investor relations Allison Cole says: ‘We picked Navatar’s CRM for Private Equity solution not only because it’s built to manage our complex relationships with investors and prospects, but also because it’s built on salesforce.com’s Force.com platform, which is highly customisable, web-based and extremely cost effective.’

Alok Misra, a principal with Navatar Group, says: ‘Private equity and venture capital firms should be able to take advantage of the power and innovation offered by on-demand business applications. With the open web services application programming interface provided by Force.com, we have been able to extend the core Salesforce features to create the unique workflows required by private equity firms.’

George Hu, chief marketing officer at salesforce.com, adds: ‘Thousands of installations of hundreds of on-demand applications demonstrate the momentum of AppExchange as an on-demand application marketplace. Now private equity and venture capital firms can visit AppExchange and deploy Navatar CRM for Private Equity with a few clicks.’

More than 1,200 financial services firms and 60,000 professionals are using Salesforce in wealth management, banking, capital markets, mortgages and insurance, supported by a range of partner solutions, including financial services-specific solutions, built on the Force.com platform, which allows applications to be easily shared, exchanged and installed.

New York-based Navatar Group is a global consulting firm that provides ‘out-of-the-box’ customer relationship management solutions for various financial services sectors. Its clients include CCMP Capital, TwoSigma, Crestview Partners, Portfolio Advisors, Nyfix, Park Venture Advisors, WisdomTree Asset Management, Hyperfeed, Intralinks, Vinmar and Minerals Technologies.
