Malaysia-based private equity firm Navis Capital Partners has held the final close of its newly structured Navis Next Generation Fund with $230m in capital commitments. The transaction, which was oversubscribed, was led by TPG NewQuest with participation from a broad syndicate of global investors.
The fund was created through a partial sale of the firm’s Southeast Asian K-12 education assets, originally held in Navis Asia Fund VIII, alongside raising fresh capital to support continued growth initiatives.
The education assets within the vehicle include Ambassador Education Group in Thailand and CIA FIRST International School in Cambodia, according to the firm’s website.
