CAPZA, a leading private investment firm specialising in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has held the final closing of its CAPZA 5 Flex Equity Fund, reaching its revised hard cap at EUR700 million, doubling the final size of the previous Fund (EUR350 million).
Trainor Group AS has acquired prominent Swedish safety course provider, Teknikutbildarna, strengthening its position as Scandinavia’s leading provider of digital electrical safety training.
Headquartered in Tønsberg, this acquisition will enhance Trainor’s position as a leading player in electrical safety training in Scandinavia and give the Swedish market a boost in digital training.
As part of Trainor’s ambitious growth plans, the deal will give the company total turnover of around NOK130 million, and over 80 employees. Trainor, which is owned by its employees and global impact investor, EV Private Equity, is transforming the standard of electrical safety training through digitalisation.
UK network service provider Freshwave has acquired the managed service division of UK-headquartered Wi-Fi specialists Airangel.
Founded in 2005, Airangel provides Wi-Fi solutions and support to over 80 brands in the high-end hospitality market, as well as the build to rent and private rented sectors. Its managed service division currently connects 60,000 hotel rooms, apartments and seasonal pitches across the UK and Europe. Airangel’s leading platform for onboarding public access provides control through authentication security, insights and analytics which support and drive continuous improvement for its users.

Carey Olsen, together with Northern Trust, have supported venture capital firm Pureos Bioventures on the successful launch and final close of its first fund, BB Pureos Bioventures LP (Pureos), with commitments of USD205 million.

New alternative lender Blazehill Capital has appointed Jake Hyman as Business Development Director, signalling its commitment to sourcing and executing complex credit opportunities in the UK mid-market.
Blazehill Capital typically provides secured lending ranging from GBP5 million to GBP30 million per transaction, delivering fast and flexible credit solutions to companies with non-standard lending requirements that are often complex and time critical. The EQT Mid Market fund (EQT Private Equity) has agreed to sell StormGeo Holding AS (StormGeo) to Alfa Laval AB (Alfa Laval), a specialist in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling. The transaction price amounts to NOK3,630 million.
StormGeo was founded in 1997 in Bergen, Norway, as a spin-off from Norway’s largest commercial broadcaster, TV2.
