Founded in 1992, Altasciences is a fully-integrated, early drug development services platform, providing the pharma and biotech industries with a trusted partner for drug development, from preclinical safety testing through clinical proof-of-concept studies. Creatio, a global software company that provides a low-code platform for process management and CRM, has completed a USD68 million capital raise led by Volition Capital, a US-based growth equity firm investing in high growth companies, with participation from Horizon Capital, a private equity firm investing in Europe.
The funding is a minority investment to fuel the company’s growth, with Creatio’s strategy, leadership team, product vision and commitment to customer success remaining unchanged.

Market research and online consumer intelligence veteran Richard Thornton has been appointed to the board of fast-growing Manchester-based consumer insights business Vypr following a GBP2.5m investment backed by private equity firm YFM Equity Partners (YFM) in January 2021.

The acquisitions are supported by a significant strategic investment from TA Associates, a leading global growth private equity firm. Members of the Backstage senior management team invested alongside TA and hold a significant equity interest in the company. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

PFR Ventures has announced its newest commitment into private equity funds with four investment vehicles receiving EUR75 million in funding from the Polish LP Investor.
These funds are either global or pan-European and invest worldwide, in the region and locally. With the recent additions, PFR Ventures has committed to seven private equity funds in total.

Partners Group, a global private markets firm, has acquired Resilient Infrastructure Group (Resilient), a water infrastructure platform focused on acquiring, developing, financing and operating distributed water-related facilities in the US and Canada.
The acquisition is a lead direct investment for Partners Group, acting on behalf of its clients. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Nutrisystem, the preeminent direct-to-consumer nutrition and weight management brand, that named Stephen Mikulak as the company’s new President, effective immediately.
Mikulak was previously Nutrisystem’s Chief Revenue Officer and has been a leader in the company’s marketing organisation since 2014. He is an experienced marketing and digital executive with a track record of business transformation and driving strategic planning, data analytics, attribution, business development, and P&L management across multiple brands and products.
