UK private equity house Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has made a senior appointment to its investment team in the South of England with Luke Matthews joining the firm as an Investment Director.
Matthews has two decades’ experience in investment and corporate finance, helping potential high-growth businesses access finance.
This appointment further strengthens Maven’s SME offering and illustrates its commitment and ability to invest in companies across the UK regions. Luke will be responsible for growing Maven’s presence in the region, including increasing assets-under-management, sourcing VCT opportunities and MBO investments and deploying capital in high quality businesses.

Established in 1949 and headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Naumann/Hobbs serves a wide customer base across the southwestern United States, providing a robust product portfolio including class I-V forklifts and related equipment as well as comprehensive service via its large technician fleet. The company also provides distribution operations and systems solutions nationwide. CEO Tom Hobbs will continue to lead Naumann/Hobbs and serve on its Board of Directors.

Growth private equity firm TA Associates has completed a minority investment in MISA Joint Stock Company (MISA), a software provider in Vietnam. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1994, MISA provides accounting, financial, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business management software to enterprises, government and individuals across Vietnam. The Company serves more than 70,000 government sector clients and 100,000 small and medium-sized enterprise (“SME”) clients across the country. Vistra, a global trust, fund administration and corporate services provider, has appointed Jervis Smith as Country Managing Director of Vistra Luxembourg, effective 17 September 2019.
Smith will be responsible for leading Vistra’s Luxembourg office and growing the business, together with the Vistra office in The Netherlands, in order to maximise joint opportunities between the two offices, which share a mutual base of clients and culture.
