Augusta, a UK-based itigation and dispute funding institution, has appointed Polly Bahl as Chief Operating Officer, based in London.
Bahl joins from US law firm Proskauer Rose where, as London Director of Professional and Administrative Resources, she coordinated a range of operational functions. A solicitor by training, Bahl qualified with SJ Berwin (now King & Wood Mallesons) where she became a partner specialising in private investment funds, a role which latterly incorporated various operational responsibilities.
Bahl’s hiring is the latest addition to Augusta’s senior team following the recent arrivals of Gowling WLG Partner James Foster as Head of International Arbitration
Middle-market private equity company Alpine Investors (Alpine) has acquired Frank Gay Services (Frank Gay), a plumbing, HVAC, electrical and mechanical services company based in Orlando, Florida. Terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed.
Frank Gay joins Best Home Services (Best), an HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services and repairs company based in Naples, Florida, to serve as the foundation of Apex Service Partners (Apex), Alpine’s new home and commercial services companies. The businesses will continue to operate independently under their respective brands.

Private equity funds managed by affiliates of Ares Management Corporation (Ares) and Leonard Green & Partners (LGP), together with investment partners GIC, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), have completed the acquisition of Press Ganey Associates from EQT Partners.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Outward VC Fund, a venture capital fund that invests at late-seed to series A stage in fintech category companies headquartered in the UK, has held a first close of its inaugural fund at approximately half of its GBP75 million target.

Middle market private equity firm HGGC is to acquire all outstanding shares of Monotype Holdings’s common stock for USD19.85 per share in cash, representing an aggregate equity value of approximately USD825 million.
The USD19.85 per share cash consideration represents a premium of approximately 23 per cent to Monotype’s closing share price on July 25, 2019, the last full trading day before today’s announcement. The transaction, which was unanimously approved by Monotype’s Board of Directors, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2019. Following completion of the transaction, Monotype expects it will remain headquartered in Woburn, MA.

Habboush joins recent hires Richard Templer, Finance Director, and Bruno Fumach, Investment Director, in the London office.
Prior to his appointment at Astarte Capital Partners, Habboush gained seven years of experience at Citigroup in London, where he was part of the Institutional Sales team and worked with UK, European and Middle Eastern pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and central banks. Prior to that Habboush focused on operations, risk, regulation and balance sheet management within Citigroup’s Fixed Income Sales team.

With more than 35 years of experience, Nagao brings a wealth of knowledge, following a lengthy career with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, SMFG. While he was at SMFG, Nagao-san was General Manager in areas such as Shinjuku Corporate Business and the Equity Portfolio Department within SMBC, part of the SMFG organisation. From 2014 to 2017 Nagao-san was the Executive Senior Managing Director at Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management, one of Japan’s largest asset managers, responsible for Business Planning.
