Equistone Partners Europe (Equistone) and Inflexion Private Equity (Inflexion) are to sell UK Power Reserve, an independent developer and operator of flexible power generation in the UK, to Singapore-headquartered integrated energy group, Sembcorp, for an equity value of GBP216 million. Former partner David Lynn is rejoining Morrison & Foerster’s Corporate Department and Corporate Finance group and will be based in the Washington DC office. Lynn, a specialist in securities, corporate governance and public company counselling, previously served as the Chief Counsel of the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Corporation Finance. At the SEC, Lynn led the SEC’s efforts to implement and interpret the rules adopted by the SEC following passage of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Lynn also led the SEC’s rulemaking team that drafted amendments to the SEC’s executive compensation and related party disclosure rules in 2006.

Tender Belly has received an investment from Encore Consumer Capital (Encore), a private equity firm that invests exclusively in consumer products companies. Tender Belly, based in Denver, Colorado, is a rapidly growing, premium bacon and pork products company founded in 2010 by brothers Shannon and Erik Duffy. Over half (57 per cent) of healthcare execs seek partnerships and joint ventures to access outside technology or expertise, according to a new report from West Monroe Partners.
