Moneysupermarket.com is to acquire BGF-backed Decision Tech following a period of acquisitive expansion and growth. As part of the deal, BGF, which has backed the company since 2012, will exit its minority equity investment.

In addition to operating broadbandchoices.co.uk, the company provides the technology, data and performance analytics powering telecoms comparison on major brands including Moneysavingexpert.com. Hasa, a portfolio company of middle market private equity firm Peak Rock Capital, has acquired Inter Valley Pool Supply (IVPS), a leading packager and distributor of water treatment chemicals.
Headquartered in Pomona, California, IVPS packages and distributes high-quality water treatment products and has operated as a licensed distributor of Hasa-manufactured liquids for more than 20 years. IVPS serves a wide array of municipal, industrial and pool & spa customers in the Southern California region.

GCA Altium has acted as exclusive financial advisor to FTSE 100 chemicals firm Croda on the acquisition by its subsidiary Croda Europe of research and development company Plant Impact plc.
The transaction was announced initially in February and has now become effective by means of a scheme of arrangement between Plant Impact and shareholders.

Guernsey’s fund sector is expecting increased interest in its Private Investment Fund following a change in its rules and guidance.
The move from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission was announced last week, removing the need for a licensed investment manager to warrant an investor’s ability to sustain financial loss, replaced by a declaration, which places a lesser burden on the manager.
“The FAQs provide a most welcome clarification to the PIF regime which we expect to end any ambiguity about the nature and extent of managers’ responsibilities,” says Craig Cordle, Group Partner at law firm Ogier.

Century Bridge Capital’s Century Bridge China Real Estate Fund has successfully exited and repatriated the proceeds from its investment in Dalian, China.
The fund closed on its GBP24.5 million investment in the GBP87 million development in January 2015 in joint venture with regional developer, Dalian Guanxin Investment Corporation.

Investors in the Assetz Capital platform are yet to be convinced by cryptocurrencies, with just 16 per cent seeing them as worthwhile investments.
The peer-to-peer lending platform canvassed the views of its investors in the Q1 Assetz Capital Investor Barometer. Some 43 per cent believe the entire market is on the brink of collapse, while 40 per cent feel cryptocurrencies are still too immature at present with significant risks attached. Only 14 per cent feel it is a worthwhile investment but only in moderation, with just 2 per cent thinking it is the future of investments.
