Calculus Capital has launched fundraising for the Calculus VCT, which aims to deliver investors an annual dividend of 4.5 per cent (equating to 6.1 per cent for investors who receive 30 per cent income tax relief) and capital growth.
The proceeds from the fundraising will be used to invest in new companies and to provide additional funding to existing portfolio companies.
The Calculus Capital VCT will invest alongside the Calculus Capital Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) fund, giving investors in both the VCT and EIS funds exposure to larger deals.

Capstone Automotive Group (Capstone), an affiliate of GPB Capital, has acquired a majority equity stake in Prime Motor Group (Prime), which operates more than 25 dealerships and related businesses in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Archean Capital Partners (Archean), a private market investment platform established by Veritable, and Moelis Asset Management, has made a USD100 million anchor capital commitment from Archean Capital Partners I, to a fund advised by Petrichor Healthcare Capital Management LP (Petrichor).

GCA Altium has acted as exclusive financial advisor to The Riverside Company and the founder management on the sale of Bike24, a German online retailer of cycling and tri-sports equipment, accessories and apparel.
Pending regulatory approval, the transaction is anticipated to close in the coming months. Riverside is not disclosing terms.

Ogier has acted as Guernsey legal advisor to Equitix on the establishment of several different co-investment structures which, alongside Equitix Fund IV and other consortium members, acquired stakes in the HS1 high speed rail line and, separately, the M25 orbital motorway network.
The HS1 concession runs to 2040 and has an enterprise value of over GBP3 billion. HS1 includes the iconic London St Pancras train station and consists of a 109km high speed rail line connecting London to a high-speed commuter service throughout Kent and to European cities via the Channel Tunnel.
