HIG WhiteHorse, the credit affiliate of HIG Capital (HIG) has closed the HIG WhiteHorse Direct Lending Fund and HIG WhiteHorse Loan Fund.
The Fund closed with aggregate capital commitments of approximately USD1.1 billion, exceeding its target, and will now continue HIG’s nvestment strategy of investing in tailored senior secured financing solutions to non-sponsor and sponsor owned companies in the US.

Dr Gunther Thumann has been formally appointed Chairman of Jersey Finance.
Dr Gunther Thumann graduated summa cum laude with a PhD in economics and statistics from the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nurnberg and, between 1978 and 1994, was an Economist in the German civil service and subsequently Senior Economist for the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC.
After joining Salomon Brothers in London as Managing Director, in the late 1990s he founded a consultancy specialising in central banks. In 2007 Dr Thumann was appointed Partner, CEO and Chairman of the board of Brevan Howard Capital Management in Jersey (Channel Islands)
Nordea and AlpInvest have launched a new co-investment fund programme starting with a new EUR200 million fund – NPE Direct.
It is anticipated that the size of the programme may expand to up to EUR400 million. The fund will source co-investment deals from both the Nordea and AlpInvest private equity platforms. The fund sponsors are Nordea Life & Pensions, Nordea Asset Management’s private equity programme and other institutional investors.

Unigestion has successfully completed the final close of Unigestion Direct Opportunities 2015 (UDO 2015). The fund closed at EUR255 million, comfortably in excess of its original EUR200 million target.
The final close of UDO 2015 was achieved by attracting strong investor support from both new and existing clients including insurers, pension funds, banks and family offices across the UK, mainland Europe and Asia.

Independent investment bank Zeus Capital has supported two major IPOs in consecutive days on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
Global Yachting Group (GYG) was admitted to the market this morning, with asset management firm Tatton Asset Management scheduled to join AIM tomorrow. Zeus Capital acted as nominated adviser (NOMAD) and sole broker on both transactions.
GYG is a global, market-leading painting, supply and maintenance company, operating exclusively with superyacht owners and suppliers for boats in excess of 40m in length.

The Local Pensions Partnership (LPP) has launched a new Global Infrastructure Fund which is expected to have total committed capital in excess of GBP1.5 billion following its final close in September 2017.
The Fund, which has launched with committed capital of GBP688 million, brings together the infrastructure assets of LPP’s two shareholder pension schemes, the Lancashire County Pension Fund (LCPF) and the London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA), under the management of Local Pensions Partnership Investments Ltd (LPP I), the FCA-authorised Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) of LPP.

Boyd Group Income Fund has, through a subsidiary company, closed the acquisition of the assets and business of Assured Automotive Inc. and related entities which was previously announced on 29 May, 2017.
The total consideration for the transaction is approximately USD193.6 million, subject to closing and post-closing adjustments, and was funded through USD146.1 million in cash and USD47.5 million in Boyd Group Income Fund units priced at USD88.31 per unit. The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to the Fund’s earnings and distributable cash.
