Audax Private Equity has partnered with management to acquire Altasciences Company, an early phase contract research organisation (CRO) in North America.
Audax acquired Altasciences from Kilmer Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Toronto, Canada. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Altasciences, headquartered in Laval, Quebec, encompasses Algorithme Pharma, Vince & Associates Clinical Research, and Algorithme Pharma USA. Altasciences offers expertise in the execution of a wide range of New Drug Application (NDA) enabling clinical trials and support services including data management, biostatistics, medical writing, and bioanalysis.

Campbell Lutyens, a global alternative asset advisory firms focused on fund placement and secondary transactions, has appointed Dr Teh Kok Peng to its Advisory Board.
Peng, was President of GIC Special Investments from April 1999 to June 2011, and remained an Adviser to GIC’s Group Executive Committee for two years after that. Prior to that, he was concurrently a deputy managing director of GIC and the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Peng obtained a first class honours economics degree at La Trobe University in Australia, a PhD at Nuffield College, Oxford University and attended the AMP course at Harvard Business School
