eMoov, the online UK estate agency, is celebrating a successful crowdfunding campaign after raising GBP2,615,530, more than two and half times its target.
eMoov launched the six-week fundraising campaign on the crowdfunding platform Crowdcube on 1 September and had initially targeted GBP1m for 5% equity in the company.
The figure achieved by eMoov was Crowdcube’s highest share equity raise for a property tech business and the second highest for a tech company behind JustPark who raised GBP3.7m in March.

Funds advised by Change Capital Partners have today sold their circa 50 per cent interest in Macduff Shellfish Group (Macduff) to Canadian-based Clearwater Seafoods in a transaction valuing the company at GBP98.4 million.
The sale will result in total investment returns for Change Capital of 2.7 times invested capital.
Macduff was founded in 1985 by the fifth generation of the Beaton family which has been actively involved in the seafood industry for more than 120 years. Based in Mintlaw, near Peterhead in Scotland, Macduff has factories in Mintlaw, Stornoway and Exeter.
