HIG Europe (HIG) has completed the sale of the 7S Group to ManpowerGroup. As a provider of HR related services, the 7S Group offers solutions in temporary staffing, business support services, and career services. The 7S Group services complement the ManpowerGroup portfolio while allowing it to become the third largest workforce solutions provider in Germany with regards to industry solutions, technical project services and executive search.7S generated more than EUR310 million in revenues in 2014. International law firm Dorsey & Whitney has appointed Fabrizio Carpanini (pictured) as a Partner in its Corporate Group in London at the beginning of November this year. Carpanini, who will join the firm at the beginning of November this year, has over 30 years of experience extending across the full spectrum of corporate transactional work, including private equity, corporate finance, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, company and business sales and international joint ventures. His main area of expertise and practice has focused on institutional-facing private equity transactions, acting on institutional and management buy-outs, as well as development capital and buy-and-build transactions.
Funds affiliated with Blackstone Tactical Opportunities have made a strategic investment in the PMI Group. In connection with the purchase of a significant equity stake in PMI, Blackstone has agreed to provide the Company with a loan for working capital needs in exchange for warrants and certain other rights. The Company intends to use the funds to pursue its investment strategy, which may include raising additional capital. Private equity firm Thoma Bravo is to make a majority investment in MedeAnalytics, a provider of cloud-based financial performance analytics for the healthcare industry. Prior investors Bain Capital Integral Investors LLC and Emergence Capital Partners will remain minority shareholders. The funds will be primarily invested into bolstering its R&D for its popular platform, which helps organisations manage the risk of cloud applications in an increasingly mobile work environment. Capillary Technologies, a provider of cloud-based software solutions that help retailers intelligently engage with their customers, has closed a USD45 million Series C round of financing led by an affiliate of private equity firm Warburg Pincus. Care Capital Properties has completed the acquisition of eight skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living facility in Shreveport, Louisiana and simultaneously entered into a long-term triple-net lease with Texas-based operator Senior Care Centers (SCC) to operate the acquired portfolio. SCC concurrently acquired the operations, which also included a rehabilitative therapy company, four hospice agencies and an interest in an affiliated pharmacy provider. CCP purchased the assets for approximately USD190 million and made a USD20 million five-year, fully amortising loan to SCC, resulting in a total transaction value of USD210 million.
