Private equity firm Envisage Equity is to provide an equity investment in and establish strategic partnerships with Noble Environmental Technologies (NET).
Envisage's investment enables Noble Environmental Technologies to significantly expand its existing production facility in Kraljevo, Serbia, and to build a research and development production facility in San Diego, California.
Additionally, in connection with the facility expansion in Serbia, the Serbian government will provide Noble Environmental with a substantial grant and will share in the costs of the expansion. The Serbian government has committed to collect and provide the agricultural waste from local farmers.

Elian Fund Services has appointed two associate directors, Jane Stammers and Alex Di Santo, to its real estate and private equity teams in Jersey.
Stammers has over 20 years’ experience in the offshore administration of real estate and corporate structures. In her new role she will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of offshore management, corporate governance and company secretarial skills are provided to Jersey structures.
Stammers also acts as a director on a number of real estate client boards and assists with the management of Elian Real Estate’s administration team.

Global law firm White & Case has advised GSO Capital Partners on its GBP115 million debt-and-equity financing of the management buyout of XLN Telecom from ECI Partners.
White & Case also represented the management-backed Newco on the acquisition.
GSO, a subsidiary of global investment and advisory firm The Blackstone Group LP, is one of the world’s largest credit-oriented alternative asset managers with more than USD67 billion in assets under management.

Indian car rental company Zoomcar has secured an investment from private equity firm Sequoia Capital.
Zoomcar started in Bangalore in February 2013, with seven vehicles at one location, but now has over 250 cars at about 40 locations across Bangalore and Pune, with plans to expand to other cities in India.

A company owned by the private equity firm Permira is to acquire Metalogix, a provider of management tools for mission-critical collaboration platforms, including Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and Office 365.
Members of Metalogix’s senior management team, including chief executive officer Steven Murphy, will maintain a significant equity stake in the company going forward. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Drug development firm Brabant Pharma has been sold to US-based pharmaceutical company Zogenix, in a deal where the main selling shareholders were advised by Zeus Capital.
Consideration for the deal is expected to reach up to USD130m.
Brabant is a single purpose company developing its low-dose fenfluramine treatment to Dravet syndrome, Brabafen. The disease, also known as Severe Myoclonic Epilepsy of Infancy (SMEI), is a rare form of intractable epilepsy that begins in infancy and affects one in 40,000 children born. The disease causes frequent, severe and potentially life-threatening seizures that typically start in the first year of life.
Consumer brands specialist investor Piper has sold Justin Craig Education, a UK exam revision business, to independent college brand MPW.
The sale was completed for an undisclosed sum.
Piper bought Justin Craig in 2008. Since then, it has doubled sales and become a leading brand in the group tuition market. In transforming the business, Piper has helped build a new management team, establish a bespoke bookings system and develop an efficient marketing programme to attract new customers, as well as improving the range and quality of Justin Craig's revision courses.

Private equity firm Advent International has completed the acquisition of Corialis (Core Innovative Aluminium Integrated Solutions) from Sagard and Ergon, alongside the management team led by CEO Johan Verstrepen.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1984, and headquartered in Belgium, Corialis is a European aluminium profile manufacturer, supplying aluminium profile systems to small and medium-sized window, door, and conservatory fabricators for both the new-build and renovation construction markets.
