General Catalyst Partners (GC) has launched the GC Stripe Platform Fund, a programme in which GC plans to invest USD10 million in venture capital for businesses and applications built on the Stripe Connect platform.
Stripe Connect enables businesses to connect their Stripe account (and their Stripe data) with other services: with a single click, a company can start selling on Twitter, integrate with their web analytics, or access their Stripe data on a mobile device.

Galena Asset Management has held the final close of its first Private Equity Resources Fund with USD400 million of total committed and invested assets.
The fund invests in both the equity and debt of small-to medium-sized metals and mining companies, particularly those that are in a development or expansion phase.
The fund will benefit from the trading and technical expertise of parent company Trafigura.
The investment team joined Galena in 2012 with a successful track record of investing in the mining resources space exclusively for Trafigura since 2005.

Private equity firm Parthenon Capital Partners has completed the sale of portfolio company Sequoia Golf Holdings to ClubCorp for approximately USD265 million.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Sequoia owns or operates 50 private clubs, semi-private and resort golf facilities located across the US.
Its portfolio includes the world-class 63-hole Woodlands Country Club located in the master-planned community of The Woodlands, Texas, a collection of four Atlanta-based premium high-end Sequoia clubs, 25 private Canongate clubs and a select group of golf properties managed for institutional owners, corporations, private investors and equity memberships.

Ashurst has advised Inflexion Private Equity on the simultaneous first and final closings of two new private equity funds.
Inflexion Buyout Fund IV and Inflexion Partnership Capital Fund I were raised in a parallel process over just five months, securing commitments of GBP650m and GBP400m respectively.
Both funds were over-subscribed and closed at their hard caps after receiving strong support from existing investors as well as attracting new investors from the US, Asia and Middle East.
Over 35 blue chip investors have committed to the two funds, including state and corporate pension plans, insurance companies and sovereign wealth funds.

Crowdfunding platform OurCrowd’s portfolio company ReWalk Robotics has completed its initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq.
The company issued 3,450,000 million shares and expects to receive total estimated net proceeds from this offering of approximately USD36.3 million after deducting estimated underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses.
OurCrowd members had previously invested USD3.3 million in ReWalk in two separate funding rounds over the past year. OurCrowd had invested alongside leading VCs, such as Pontifax, Israel Health Care Ventures, SCP Vitalife and the Japanese Robotics giant YASKAWA.
