Zeus Capital has advised Epwin Group, a manufacturer of low maintenance building products, on its admission to AIM as nominated adviser and sole broker, including the GBP94 million institutional fundraise.
Epwin has a market capitalisation of GBP135 million.
The Cheltenham-based company announced its intention to float on AIM on 10 July in a bid to raise GBP10 million to repay a portion of its debt. The group placed 135 million ordinary shares at a price of 100 pence under 'EPWN' and issued a free float of approximately 70 per cent.

The Private Equity Principal Group (PEPG), a professional association designed for individuals at the principal and vice president levels within private equity firms, has launched in the US.
The association was developed as a resource to provide members with the skills and resources necessary to take the next step in their careers.
“We began to see that there was not enough training and education for young professionals in the private equity space. PEPG’s goal is help provide the education, training, and connections necessary for principals’ path to partnership,” says Neil C Krauter, chairman of the PEPG board of directors.
Equiteq has advised ACE International Consultants on its sale to AECOM Technology Corporation.
The deal was completed on 10 July 2014.
Equiteq is a consulting sector merger and acquisition specialist, providing both growth advisory and M&A transaction services to the global consulting and IT services industry.

The number of funds notifying the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) of their intention to privately place into Europe under AIFMD rules has broken through the 150 mark.
Figures collated by the JFSC show that, as at 22 July, a total of 164 funds had opted to make use of Jersey’s private placement route into Europe.
In addition, 57 alternative investment fund managers have confirmed their authorisation under Jersey’s AIFMD private placement regime, and there are three depositaries in Jersey offering AIF Depositary services as well as others in the pipeline.

European financial services private equity firm AnaCap has completed the acquisition of Brightside Group, a UK insurance broker.
Under the terms of the agreement, funds advised by AnaCap will acquire 100 per cent of the company.

MMC Ventures-backed Base79 is to be sold to Rightster Group in a GBP50 million deal.
MMC invested in Base79 co-founders, Ashley Mackenzie and Richard Mansell, from an early stage in March 2010, and since then MMC has supported the company as a shareholder and board member in their journey to become one of Europe’s leading online video companies.

Private equity firm NorthEdge Capita has invested GBP15 million into Roberts Jackson, a Cheshire-based industrial disease law firm.
Founded in 2009, the Wilmslow practice provides legal services in the highly complex field of occupational disease litigation, and acts for claimants who have developed diseases as a result of their employer`s negligence. The firm has grown from two to more than 200 people in five years.
The investment from NorthEdge Capital will facilitate the acceleration of growth and development of the practice and open up new opportunities in the legal services sector.
Nick Townend joins the board as finance director and Paul Hewitt as chairman alongside founders Karen Jackson, CEO, and Oliver Jackson, strategy director. Gladys Swaim-Rutter and Lorna Vanderkamp have been promoted to directors as part of the deal and are equity shareholders.
Grant Berry, managing partner at NorthEdge Capital, director Jon Pickering, and investment manager Phil Frame led the deal. Berry and Pickering join the board as non-executive directors whilst Frame joins as an observer.
