Private equity house LDC is to exit from UK commercial real estate consultant GVA once its merger with Bilfinger, the EUR8.6bn-turnover global engineering, construction and real estate services group, is finalised. LDC’s initial investment of GBP40 million for a minority stake in GVA in 2007 supported the company’s growth through acquisition.   The merger will result in LDC, which currently holds a 27.5 per cent stake in GVA, exiting the business following a sustained period of investment that has helped GVA realise its growth plans.   Contracts have been exchanged and there was a 99 per cent shareholder vote –
Huron Capital Partners has formed a platform investment in the dental market and recapitalised Michigan-based Spring & Sprout Dental Holdings. GI Partners established Urban&Civic with the management team of Nigel Hugill (chairman) and Robin Butler (managing director) in 2009. With two research, design and manufacturing facilities in Bella Vista and Seven Hills in New South Wales, Global supplies implants and instrumentation for hip, knee, shoulder and spine surgeries, along with related orthobiologics.   Riverside has partnered on the transaction with Andrew Fox-Smith and Duncan Lilley. Private equity firm NorthEdge Capital has invested GBP11.1 million in the management buyout of Utiligroup, a Lancashire-based data management and software services provider. Svensson has 14 years of experience in the private equity industry.   Having started her career in 1998 in Sweden at Swedbank, she joined the Paris office of ABN Amro Capital in 2000.
