Risk Capital Partners, the private equity firm chaired by Luke Johnson, has backed management to acquire Neilson Active Holidays Ltd from the Thomas Cook Group for an undisclosed sum. The transaction is expected to complete in early December.   This is Risk Capital Partners’ second deal this year in the travel industry.   Neilson delivers sailing, skiing and beach holidays to 90,000 customers a year and generated revenues of GBP70m last year.  Established in 1978, Neilson sells its holidays direct to customers from its website www.neilson.co.uk and its own dedicated call centre based in Brighton Marina, as well as supporting

Nasdaq Private Market (NPM) has made two appointments to its senior leadership team – Carine Schneider will head NPM's equity management solutions and Cyndi Rodriguez will serve as chief legal officer. Fireman Capital Partners (FCP), a consumer-focused growth equity firm, has acquired a majority stake in Skip Hop, a lifestyle brand serving the infant and toddler industry. Skip Hop founders Michael and Ellen Diamant will retain a meaningful ownership stake, and will continue to lead the company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.   Based in New York City, Skip Hop offers a wide range of products, including diaper bags, on-the-go accessories, soft and wooden toys, bedding, bath time, feeding, and the ZOO line of toddler products. LA-based private equity firm Aurora Capital Group has acquired National Technical Systems (NTS), a provider of testing, inspection and certification solutions.
