AVT, a specialist in automated retailing systems, customised kiosks and self service stores, has settled trade payables of approximately USD1.1m in exchange for the issuance of shares of its common stock to Ironridge Consumer Co, a division of Ironridge Global IV.   The capital will be used to build company-owned automated retailing systems, which will be rapidly deployed and will create recurring revenue streams for AVT.   One of AVT’s business goals for 2013 was to produce more company-owned systems, and derive ongoing revenues from these systems. Joe Truelove has been appointed as a director of Carey Group’s fund administration business.   He leaves Kleinwort Benson after 12 years, most recently as head of business development for the fund administration business.   Truelove (pictured) is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a qualified trust and estate practitioner and has degree in French and Hispanic Studies (Latin American) from the University of Aberdeen.   He trained with Coopers and Lybrand (now PwC) where he qualified as a chartered accountant while working in the audit and business assurance team.   At Carey Group

Los Angeles-based private equity firm CounterPoint Capital Partners has completed its third acquisition in as many months with the recent addition of The Bradshaw Group into its platform company, Parts Now. Financial terms have not been disclosed. Founded in 1990, The Bradshaw Group is a distributor of desktop laser and production printer parts and supplies. Palmer Capital has completed the sale of its Big Orange Self Storage (BOSS) fund portfolio to Asian buyers for USD136m.   One asset has been sold to a local Chinese investor for HKD498,000,000 (USD64.2m).   The BOSS operating business and the four remaining Singapore assets have been sold for SGD90.5m (USD71.2m) to an Asian trade buyer.   The BOSS Fund was launched in 2009 as a joint venture between the Invista International Fund and Oak Hill (the US private equity firm).
