Consumer-focussed private investor L Catterton is close to agreeing the sale of UK-based luxury boat-builder Princess Yachts to US private equity firm KPS Capital Partners (KPS), with a deal set to be announced as as early as this week, according to a report by PlymouthLive. Over the past 30 years, New York-based KPS, which has about $141 billion of assets under management, has focussed on acquiring manufacturing business in a range of markets including branded goods, consumer goods, healthcare and luxury products, and automotive parts. According to KPS, it creates portfolio company value “almost exclusively through operational and performance improvement”.
Public transport specialist Via has raised $110 million in a financing round led by 83North, at a valuation of $3.5 billion, the same as the company’s previous financing in November 2021. Exor NV, Pitango, Janus Henderson, CF Private Equity, Planven Entrepreneur Ventures, Riverpark Ventures, and ION Crossover Partners also participated in the round. Via intends to use the funding to expand its product suite, improve its end-to-end digital infrastructure for public mobility, and expand into new markets and verticals. Via’s products are used by more than 600 communities around the globe to expand access to public transportation by building networks
Eureka Equity Partners has recapitalised Blueprint NYC a healthcare communications agency providing promotional services to pharmaceutical manufacturers and biotech companies, in partnership with the firm’s founders and senior team leaders.
Circularity Capital, a specialist private equity firm supporting growth stage European SMEs in the circular economy, has appointed Anders Brejner as investment director. Brejener joins the business from GRO Capital, a European tech-focused private equity firm.

Conway specialises in professional practices and individual partners’ taxation, with a particular focus on the private equity sector . Conway has 14 years of experience working in tax and accounting, including spending time as head of tax at mid-market private equity firm Livingbridge. Conway he has experience advising partners and partnerships on a range of issues, including basis period reform, international expansion, salaried members legislation, LLP set up and succession, fund structuring, income based carried interest analysis

Alternative investment manager Tikehau Capital’s portfolio company EuroGroup Laminations, a specialist in the design and production of the “motor core” for electric motors and generators, has completed its initial public offering, with the firm’s shares now trading on Euronext Milan under the ticker symbol EGLA.
Global private equity and investment advisory firm CVC Capital Partners is in negotiations to acquire a minority stake in Indonesian gas company PT Samator Indo Gas, according to a report by Bloomberg. The size of the stake is reportedly 30% with an expected valuation of between $150 million and $200 million. A deal could potentially be agreed by the end of this quarter, although negotiations are said to be ongoing and the Harsono family, the current majority shareholder, could still decide not to proceed. eWTP Arabia Capital, a venture capital fund backed by China’s Alibaba Group and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is aiming to raise $1 billion to invest in tech startups in China, India, Southeast Asia, and MENA, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Nuveen, the $1.1 trillion investment manager of TIAA, and Churchill Asset Management, an investment-specialist affiliate of Nuveen, have launched the Nuveen Churchill Private Capital Income Fund, which will offer individual investors access to private capital investments across the US middle market, typically only available only to institutional investors.
