Private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice is in negotiations over making an approximately $1 billion investment in enterprise software provider Pegasystems Inc, according to a report by BNN Bloomberg. The report cites unnamed sources as saying that the CD&R’s investment would be strategic and is not a prelude to a takeover of the company. Terms of the transaction have yet to be finalised and may not lead to an investment being made.  Pegasystems sells software to improve business processes, according to its website with a client base comprising large organisations including Toronto-Dominion Bank, Aflac Inc, Cisco Systems Inc, and
Eurazeo, via its Small-Mid Buyout team is to investing up to €100 million in NeoXam, alongside its founder Serge Delpla and the company’s management team led by Florent Fabre. Under the agreement, Eurazeo would become the group’s majority shareholder with historical investors, led by Cathay Capital and BPI – shareholders since 2018 – selling their share in the business. HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investment specialist, has held the final close of its sixth co-investment fund, HarbourVest Partners Co-Investment Fund VI, which closed above its $3.5 billion target at $4.2 billion, including the General Partner commitment.
Sembcorp Industries is to acquire Mumbai-based energy producer Vector Green Energy for $345 million from a fund managed by the Indian unit of private equity firm Global Infrastructure Partners, according to a report by Deal Street Asia.  The report cites a Sembcorp statement as revealing that the acquisition, which will be made through the company’s Sembcorp Green Infra subsidiary, brings the group’s gross renewables portfolio, including assets installed and under development, in India to 3GW.  Upon completion of the acquisition, which will be funded by internal cash resources, as well as external borrowing, Sembcorp’s gross renewable energy capacity will increase
