NorthEdge strengthens team with new appointment

Private equity firm NorthEdge Capital has strengthened its team with the appointment of James Marshall as Investment Executive.

NorthEdge, which focuses on investing in businesses based in the North of England, has seen a very active year and has now made 10 investments from its maiden fund, representing over GB{100m of investment into the Northern business community during the last 18 months.
 
Marshall will be based in the firm’s Leeds office. A Chartered Accountant, he joins from corporate finance specialist, Dow Schofield Watts, where he was instrumental in establishing its Yorkshire team. Prior to this Marshall spent three years with EY, where he worked across the firm’s Newcastle and Leeds offices.
 
In his role at NorthEdge, as part of the New Business team, Marshall will be responsible for originating and working on target transactions across the North, with particular focus on Yorkshire and the North East.
