Oak Hill Capital Partners has named Arthur D. Collins junior as a senior adviser to the firm.
Collins (pictured) will consult across Oak Hill Capital’s private equity portfolio, providing advice and expertise in a variety of areas.
He was formerly the chairman and chief executive officer of Medtronic, one of the largest medical technology companies in the world, and retired from Medtronic in September 2008 after more than 16 years at the company.

Collins has over 35 years’ experience in various leadership roles at several leading public and private companies, including Medtronic, Abbott Laboratories and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. In addition, Collins has extensive board experience, currently serving as an active board member of The Boeing Company, Cargill, and US Bancorp.
He is a member of the board of overseers of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a member of the board of advisers of the Farmer School of Business at Miami University, and also has served in leadership positions at numerous industry associations, charitable institutions and government councils.
