OEP Capital Advisors was penalised $4m by the Securities and Exchange Commission, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
According to the report personnel at OEP Capital Advisors emailed nonpublic merger and performance information, violating the private equity firm’s policies and violating rules for asset managers.
The report added that employees of OEP Capital Advisors sent investors private details about potential deals and other confidential information, leading to the $4mn penalty over deal-info disclosures.
