Global law firm O’Melveny has boosted its cross-border capabilities with the addition of two experienced pan-Asia transactional lawyers — Stephanie Keen and Sylvia Taslim — as Partners in the firm’s established Mergers & Acquisitions practice based in its Singapore office.
According to a press statement, both Keen and Taslim are “internationally recognised for their strategic M&A and private equity expertise”. Their work spans an array of industries including the technology, consumer, and energy sectors.
Keen and Taslim come to O’Melveny from the Singapore office of Hogan Lovells, where they practiced together in the Corporate and Finance Practice. Keen held senior leadership roles there, including head of the Asia-Pacific Private Equity Practice and Corporate and Finance Practice.
Keen and Taslim’s addition accelerates O’Melveny’s continued strategic growth. With their arrival, 23 lateral partners have joined the firm since 2023, including 14 corporate partners based in the firm’s Singapore, London, New York, Los Angeles, and Century City offices.
For nearly three decades, Keen has advised corporations, lenders, and mid-market private equity sponsors on leveraged buy-outs, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, and corporate restructurings in jurisdictions across the globe.
She earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Law from St John’s College at the University of Cambridge, and her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the York College of Law.
Taslim has previously advised clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public takeovers, private equity transactions, and venture capital investing.
She earned her LLB in Laws from the National University of Singapore, and is a member of the Singapore Law Society.
