One Equity Partners’ (OEP) portfolio company Simplura Health Group (Simplura), a provider of high-quality residential care services for elderly and disabled populations, has completed the acquisition of Personal In-Home Services (Personal In-Home).
Financial terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1991, the company provides a wide range of personal assistance to the elderly in West Virginia. Headquartered in Wheeling, West Virginia, Personal In-Home’s operating subsidiaries, Panhandle Support Services and Select Home Support, provide help with managing activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, grooming and mobility.
“This transaction leverages our strengths to serve the elderly where the demand for high quality residential care is exceptionally strong,” says David Middleton, President and CEO of Simplura. “West Virginia’s senior population is expected to age at a faster rate than the rest of the U.S. and to grow substantially over the next two decades.”
“Simplura and Personal In-Home are both known for their exceptional caregiver professionals who enable their clients to experience a better quality of life,” says Greg Belinfanti, Senior Managing Director, OEP. “This acquisition is another successful strategic transaction that CEO David Middleton and his team have completed, now expanding Simplura’s geographic presence outside of New York, New Jersey, Florida, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.”
Personal In-Home’s subsidiaries will continue to operate under their existing brands, out of the Company’s Wheeling headquarters, and its seven branch offices located throughout West Virginia will remain open and become part of Simplura’s operations.
“Simplura has an excellent reputation, and we look forward to partnering with a team who shares our focus on improving our clients’ well-being and quality of life,” says Mato Kret, President of Personal In-Home. “We are pleased to be joining the Simplura family, and look forward to benefitting from additional resources that ensure exceptional quality of care for our clients.”
Personal In-Home is the seventh acquisition Simplura has made under OEP’s ownership. Most recently, Simplura acquired Helping Hand in August 2018, following its purchase of the assets of Village Care in February 2016; Multicultural Home Care, including its Freedom Home Care brand, in December 2016; Independence Healthcare Corp. in August 2017; SarahCare of Jenkintown in February 2018; and Keystone In-Home Care in May 2018.
