UT business solutions firm Orion has acquired New York-based Structured Network Solutions (SNS).
Orion says the deal strengthens its capabilities in network design, directory authentication services, IT security policy, design strategies and storage solutions and adds strength to its market share in government, non-governmental organisations, and not-for-profits verticals.
It is Orion’s second acquisition in two weeks.
Headquartered in Melville, New York, SNS was co-founded in 1998 by Anthony Anastasio, Barry Dubson and Joe D'Agostino, who will remain in their current roles along with their team of 20 developers, architects, and systems engineers.
"SNS is Orion's second acquisition this year and reflects our overall commitment to strategic, sustainable growth," says Raj Patil, CEO and president of Orion. "This acquisition strengthens our high-end IT infrastructure design and management capabilities in the areas of private and public cloud environments."
"We are excited at the opportunities that this acquisition creates for us. We have full confidence that this is the right company, and the right time for us to join their team. Orion shares similar values, and bring to bear decades of deep industry and domain expertise, a global presence, and a shared focus on delivering excellence," says Dubson.
Orion focuses on delivering solutions across data, analytics, enterprise collaboration, risk and compliance, knowledge management and cloud; enabling its customers to drive their journey "from data to decision making."
The company has established itself as a strategic partner to numerous Fortune 1,000 and large enterprise clients in the financial services, telecom, healthcare, consumer products, education, and government industries.
Through its US base and offshore development centres in India, Orion services a broad range of client engagements and delivers cutting edge and cost-effective solutions to clients. Orion is an investment of Washington, DC-based private equity firm Potomac Equity Partners.
