P+ rehires former Head of Private Equity for new strategic role

Danish pension fund P+, which serves academics, has appointed Henrik Küseler, in a newly created position as Director and Co-Lead of Strategic Initiatives within its Alternatives team, according to a report by AMWatch.

Küseler, who previously spent seven years at P+, four as Head of Private Equity, left the pension scheme in March for a role at AkademikerPension as Senior Investment Director.

The report quotes Michael Dalsgaard, Head of Alternative Investments at P+, as saying: “Alternative investments are a core component of P+’s strategy, and we are constantly looking to strengthen this area by optimising processes and leveraging synergies across asset classes. In this context, we created the new role of Director, Co-Lead of Strategic Initiatives, and are pleased to have Henrik Küseler, with his extensive experience in alternative investments, return to the team.”

In his new role, Küseler will be responsible for investment strategy and portfolio construction across private markets, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Prior to his original stint at P+, Küseler worked at Nordea as an analyst in Nordic M&A and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) advisory for three years.
