Palatine boosts new business team

Palatine Private Equity has appointed Charlotte Ashton as business development director.

Ashton joins Palatine from Grant Thornton Corporate Finance where she worked for three years, initially in Manchester and then later in London focusing on specialist sectors.

She worked on a wide range of transactions including Edward Billingtons acquisition of Bar Foods, the sale of Electricity Network Solutions to the French group SPIE and the sale of The Mansfield Group to South African logistics group Bidvest.

Ashton joins the team in a national role focused on developing relationships with high growth, entrepreneurial businesses as well as the corporate finance community and intermediaries.

Ashton says: “It is a great time to be joining Palatine, which closed its second fund last year and has demonstrated strong track record through the investments and exits made to date. My experience across a range of industry sectors and network of contacts complement Palatine’s existing business development initiatives.”

Gary Tipper, managing partner at Palatine, says: “We’re delighted to have Charlotte on board. We have continued to build our business development resource and Charlotte brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and industry contacts.  Developing relationships with entrepreneurial and fast growing business is an important part of our strategy and the addition of Charlotte to the team will help us continue this.”
