Palatine makes double appointment

Palatine Private Equity has made two new additions to its team with the appointment of Andy Strickland as Investment Manager and Ben Jones as Business Development Manager.

Strickland joins Palatine’s southern-based investment team from Clearwater Corporate Finance where he worked as an Assistant Director in the firm’s technology team. During his four years with Clearwater he worked on a number of domestic and international transactions including private equity backed buyouts, company disposals and asset sales. He is a qualified chartered accountant and has a degree in economics from Nottingham University.

Strickland will work alongside Palatine Partner, Tony Dickin and Investment Director, Jonny Allatt focusing on sourcing and executing transactions across the southern regions of the UK.

Jones joins Palatine’s business development team from Criticaleye, a collaborative leadership organisation serving senior executives in both corporate and private equity backed businesses. He spent four years in business development at Criticaleye working with and recruiting a number of CEOs, chairmen and non-executive directors.  He will work alongside Business Development Director Johnathan Massey to support the investment team nationally in sourcing new investment opportunities.

Gary Tipper, Managing Partner at Palatine Private Equity, says: “Andy’s knowledge of the M&A landscape and Ben’s diverse network of contacts will add tremendous value to our business as we continue to expand our portfolio in the regions of the UK.

“It is an exciting time to be joining the team as we have closed our second Fund at GBP150million and already made a number of investments, including the recent buyouts of Icelolly and Forrest.”
