Sue Davenport, CEO of Matrix Private Equity backed Pasta King has been crowned ‘Woman Chief Executive Officer of the Year’ at the inaugural British Venture Capital Association’s (BVCA) ‘CEO of the Year Awards.’
South-West based Pasta King, has achieved very strong growth following Matrix’s backing, with turnover increasing 35% in the past two years.
Since joining the company in 2003, Davenport has been instrumental in driving business development into new sectors by implementing a strategic sales and marketing plan that helped reposition the company to caterers as a credible and key player in the healthy meals market. She completed the successful management buyout in 2005, with backing from small buyout specialist, Matrix Private Equity Partners.
