Paul Hastings has appointed M&A lawyer Jon Kubek as partner in the firm’s New York office. Kubek advises corporations on matters involving mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, proxy contests, and shareholder activism defence.
Some of Kubek’s significant client representations include Innoviva, Inc, in its acquisition of La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company; Choice Hotels International in its acquisition of Radisson Hotel Group Americas and extended-stay brand WoodSpring Suites; Resideo Technologies in its acquisition of First Alert; Allied World in its acquisition by Fairfax Financial; and Protective Life in its acquisition of the individual life and annuity business of Liberty Life.
Globally, Paul Hastings has added partners over the last year across a dozen practices, including M&A, private equity, finance, structured credit, securities and capital markets, restructuring, infrastructure, investigations and IP, securities, and commercial litigation.
