Paul Hastings (Europe) has appointed Gerd Hegele as a partner in Frankfurt. Hegele’s practice focuses on advising both private equity and infrastructure investors on M&A national and cross-border transactions.
Hegele joins Paul Hastings’ European energy and infrastructure practice, which covers the full spectrum of energy and infrastructure assets and offers specialist capabilities across both M&A and finance.
The second partner to join Paul Hastings’ Frankfurt office from Clifford Chance in recent months, Hegele follows private equity and infrastructure M&A lawyer Frederik Mühl, who joined in June. He will be the sixth partner in Paul Hastings’ Frankfurt office who focuses on advising European and global financial investors, alongside Wolff, Katja Kaulamo, Christian Mueller, Melchior Raiser, and Mühl.
Hegele will work closely with Mühl in Frankfurt, as well as London-based partners Jessamy Gallagher and Stuart Rowson, who joined the firm earlier this year from Linklaters, Candice Lambeth, who joined in August from Weil, Gotshal & Manges, and Ally McKechnie, who joined in July from Latham & Watkins.
